grass for mulch? #878409

I gathered some dry tall grass that had been mowed at the school. Could I use it as mulch in my raised beds, or would I risk having the seeds sprout in the spring?

Thank you for your question, Jeanne. You will have new plants grow only if there are seeds in the mixture. Just the stalks (as well as dried roots, if any) will not generate seedlings. Good luck!
