Approved FDA Better Process Control #878388

Asked July 23, 2024, 10:21 AM EDT

Hi, I'm in the process of obtaining my license to sell salsas and hot sauces on small scale in Oregon. I live in Corvallis, and one requirement in the license process is that I take an FDA approved Better Process Control Class for Acidified Foods. I'm browsing your Extension courses but do not see the class or how I would sign up for it. Can you send me the link or other info on the course. Thank you for your time. Thanks for contacting Ask Extension. The OSU Food Science and Technology (FST) Department offers a 2-day “Better Process Control School for Acidified Foods and Aseptic Food” course each year in the fall. In 2023 it was held on November 8th
and 9th at the Food Innovation Center located in Portland. I have not seen any dates posted for 2024. I suggest that you the FST at<personal data hidden> for additional information regarding this year’s course. If you prefer not to wait until the fall, you can also inquire as to online courses offered through FST departments located in other states. Good Luck!
