pear rust #878286
Asked July 22, 2024, 2:46 PM EDT
Last year I pruned my Bartlee pear tree, removed some of the leaves with the cankers and clean the ground under the tree very carefully. Now it is covered in orange spots. Anything I can do now? There is a big juniper tree in my neighbor's yard a short distance away. Anything I can do now? And in the future?

Expert Response
Some homeowners hire a company to spray pear trees, others tolerate the infection, as it isn’t severe every year. Details and photos are in the resources.
