Concerned about our oak tree. We have a few dead branches and the leaves look as pictured. No roots exposed in the yard.

Hi Todd,

This looks like damage from the oak shot hole leafminer. In healthy trees this is a nuisance cosmetic issue.

As the page indicates, by the time you notice the damage the bugs are gone.
