Advice for residential property #878120

Asked July 21, 2024, 1:28 PM EDT

I will be landscaping my house and need some advice. I would like to have someone inspect my property and give me guidance about using native plants, erosion control, etc. I would also like to include plants for wildlife especially hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies. Also important to me is minimizing the use of fertilizers and chemicals. If there is a way to eliminate them altogether, that would be great. I anticipate doing 90 per cent of the property and am basically working with a blank slate. It is not new construction but only has minimal landscaping in place. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you soon!

You need a landscaper who specializes in what you are looking for.  The DNR has a list by sections of the state.  Please go to their site:  https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/gardens/nativeplants/suppliers.html
