Expert Response

Hi,

It depends on how much spurge you have in your lawn - if it's a small amount, you can pull it by hand. If it's a significant amount, then using chemistry will be the easiest. Any product that has carfentrazone (such as Roundup for Lawns - "Roundup" is a brand name and this product does not contain glyphosate) will work best. It may take two applications. This product will not harm/injure your turf, but apply when temperatures are cooler and below 85 degrees.

It's also important to boost your lawn's health with proper water and fertilizer. If you haven't fertilized recently, you may consider doing a fertilizer application after September 1. Be sure to water it in following application.
