If client is asking about ID of the pink flowered plant, we need more info—
1. Where it is growing- in a moist or dry area; in shaded or full sun exposure?
2.Pictures of the leaves attached to the stems so we can see their shapes and how they are arranged on the stems.
3.A clear close up of the face of the flowers, so we can count the stamens in the center.
There are many possibilities- wild geranium or something in the gentian family.
I will watch for your update.
Grows in full sun, sandy Manistee township soil, will try again to attach more pictures

Control of this plant may be similar to Silene latifolia:
“Cultivation or tillage during seedbed preparation will kill many white campion plants in the seedlilng stage. Well-established plants are usually not killed by tillage…To control an established population, you should focus on stopping seed production. Hand-pulling, mowing, or herbicide applications are effective. Hand-pulling should be conducted in early summer when the soil is moist, and you are able to pull out the entire root. Mowing is best done between the times that the flower buds begin to form until the flowers begin to open.
Herbicides that contain dicamba or metsulfuron-methyl are effective on campion. Consult the product label for directions on application rate and timing.” from Cornell Cooperative Extension
However, accurately counting the stamens, shape of the pistil and corolla, and pegaps looking at some seeds, are needed to confirm ID.
Please submit your photos to MSU Plant Diagnostic lab, along with the other info - where and how it grows— to confirm the identification by a weed specialist. Their email is <personal data hidden>
