Asked July 18, 2024, 9:03 AM EDT

Hi there i just found 2 slugs in my pollinator garden that i planted through a L2L grant. I am reading up on how to get rid of the slugs but am super afraid to use anything that will harm my pollinator friends. Do you have any advice?

Good Morning Amber,

Thank you for contacting the U of M Extension Service.

Are the slugs doing damage to your pollinator plants? Part of growing a pollinator garden is to create habitat for nature. If they are not creating major issues, I would leave them alone.

As you read through the above information, you can expand the layers below that discuss management. As the information states, many animals feed on slugs.

Good Luck!
