This looks like a burning bush that is likely suffering from scorch, a physiological symptom of stress in a plant.
Scorch can be caused by heat, water (too much, or too little), salts from soil or water, overfertilization, or other stressors.

Make sure it is getting sufficient water, let it dry a bit between irrigation sessions, try watering in winter, and check how frequently you fertilize.
