We have Robinia hispida in our yard. I cut it down because we were having problems with its spreading. We now have it popping up all over our lawn and flower beds. What is the best way to get rid of it, herbicide, broad leaf herbicide, what works

Glycophosphate can be used but will kill all plants. Your best approach is to paint each cut stem with glycophosphate and discard the top of the plant. https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/Invasives/fact/BristlyLocust
