Can you provide advice regarding the health of large douglas fir trees and whether or. it they pose a danger to our home? We have lived here for 20 years and they are getting quite large. we are reluctant to have them removed. any advice is welcome. We are elderly and a home visit would be really wonderful to help us work through this

We don’t offer tree inspection through the Extension office. But I would recommend that you contact a certified arborist. These are folks who have gone through additional training and knowledge tests to earn certification through the International Society of Arboriculture. Not all tree care companies have a certified arborist on staff. You can do a search to find someone local here: https://www.treesaregood.org/findanarborist/findanarborist
