Save an American Elm? #877271

Asked July 15, 2024, 11:08 AM EDT

I have an American Elm tree  in my backyard growing under power wires . It is a sapling that I actually have cut down a couple of times not realizing what it was so it is very hardy.
I was wondering if you would be interested in all or part of it before I need to cut it down as it will interfere with the wires

Expert Response

Hi Holly, Thank you for your inquiry. Thank you, but we do not keep an inventory of trees...we merely try to help homeowners keep them healthy!

If you wish to donate your elm tree, you might want to contact your local conservation district.

Hello!
Thank you for your response. I appreciate hearing from you.
You mention a local conservation district as a further contact with regard to my tree, How would I contact them I am unfamiliar with them.
Thank you very much again,
Have a good day!

Without knowing what country you reside in, here's what I would do because I live in Kent County:

Google the words "contact Kent County Conservation District." (Change "Kent County" to the name of your county.)

This should bring up their website, and you will likely see a tab at the top of the page "Contact us."
