Permythrin vs edible fruits #877233

Asked July 15, 2024, 8:29 AM EDT

Will my blueberries and raspberries be safe for consumption after spraying permithryn in my yard about 3 weeks ago to treat for mosquitos?

Kanabec County Minnesota

Expert Response

The label is the law. If the label says it can be sprayed on fruit then it will also state when it is safe to consume fruit. If the label doesn’t say it can be sprayed on fruit then the fruit should not be eaten.
