Brown spots in lawn #877206

Asked July 14, 2024, 7:44 PM EDT

Good afternoon, My lawn was thick, lush and green and now it is barely a lawn. I live in GVR and it all seemed to change after the massive hail storm. I noticed a small brown patch forming and thought maybe the hail severely damaged the blades. The small patch is massive and my once lush lawn is either brown or thinning. It is properly watered and fertilized. Through Google searches it states to connect with local extension office to have lawn tested to know what the issue could be. Are lawn diseases able to be tested through soil samples? Please help.

Expert Response

I’m sorry but the extension office does not have a program to visit your site to test your lawn. However, there are labs to test samples that you submit (there is a cost).
