I am sure you know that the fern part of the plant should be left on the asparagus plant until fall and then removed. The plant needs the fern portion to return the energy to the crowns (roots) during the summer. If is probable that you will have no or maybe a few less healthy plants next year. However, if you can spare the space in the garden leave the crowns and see what happens next spring. At best it will be a slim harvest and may take one or two years for a better product if they survive.
