My yellow squash is turning light green on the end. They are adequately watered and adequately fertilized. I’ve never had this happen before so I’m wondering if you have any ideas?

Without a picture, it is hard to diagnose, but because of the location you describe, I suspect blossom end rot. The following document describes causes and solutions.
