I'm a Registered Dietitian looking for a nutrition facts sheet for beans and lentils for my vegetarian patient. Can you help me find one? Many of the online sites have limited lists missing many of the common beans like garbanzo beans.
Also, is it still necessary to combine beans/lentils with a starch for complete protein?

Hi Elizabeth,
CSU Extension has a great website from nutrition department on campus that you may find helpful. https://foodsmartcolorado.colostate.edu/
Yes, combining plant based foods in order to get complete protein in the diet is essential. Here is a fact sheet that might also be of use. https://extension.colostate.edu/topic-areas/nutrition-food-safety-health/vegetarian-diets-9-324/. Please let me know if you have further questions!
