I have had tea roses or floribundas for a long time. I do the mn tip and had fairly good luck. The last several years I have not had to good of a time with them. My question is do I try to find them ( the shrub roses) now or wait until spring? I am getting on in age I am 75 years old and enjoy gardening a lot.

With the multiple years of drought and variable winters I can understand why it may have been difficult to maintain tea roses. One option for roses, that takes less effort, are the hardy shrub or carpet roses. Over the years many hybrids have been developed. They bloom all season and while the blooms are not as large as tea varieties they can be quite stunning.
Rose varieties, both tea and shrub, should be available at local greenhouses. If you plant this season make sure they receive regular watering, either from rain or hand-watering, up until the grown freezes. I have put links below for hardy roses and overall rose care.
