wilting crab #876946

my 8 year old crab apple tree has a lot of dying leaves, curled up and turn brown. no spots of insects. It seems to be worse on the lower branches, can i save this tree?

From your photo it looks like you probably have apple scab. We are seeing a lot of it this year. 

There really is no treatment. You can prune out any dead branches. Clean up of fallen leaves and apples is important. Bag them and put them in your city compost.
