Will a pink dogwood grow in Saint Paul? #876875
Asked July 11, 2024, 6:04 PM EDT
Hi there!
I would like to plant an ornamental tree in my back yard and I can't find a definitive answer about whether a pink dogwood will make it or not. I am in zipcode 55104. Is a pink dogwood suitable for this zone?
If not, is there a similar tree (color, size, dog-friendly) that would be suitable?
Thanks so much!

Arbor Day Foundation says it will grow in zone 5.

With climate change making things warmer, it is likely that your area will eventually be zone 5. If the place where you want to plant the tree is protected by buildings or other trees, you may have a micro-climate that will be safe to place your tree in.
