garden gone bad #876737

Asked July 10, 2024, 5:56 PM EDT

Greetings. In Canby near the Molalla river I have excellent soil and unlimited water. My garden is flowers and edibles. This year I've used some Neem as a preventative, and also some 5-10-10 a few times, mostly on the dahlias. Everything was looking droopy, so I hit much of it with regular Miracle Grow one time. It still looked bad. During the recent heat event, I left the drip system running but did apply some pebble stuff on the roses. Today I turned off the water. Maybe that will be better, let it dry up. The place next door is a farming operation, they grow seedlings for forestry, and they spray something on their crop a couple times a week, I don't know what, cannot smell it. They do not ask me for permission when they do that, but they do ask me when they cover the field with Bromide gas. Maybe I need to have this area tilled, it's been a long time.
