Joyce McBride iris #876726

My grandfather in law, Bailey McBride, recently moved to a nursing home when we live in Tennessee. His wife, Joyce McBride, for whom the iris is named for died several years ago and we would love to plant some of the iris in the garden at the nursing home where he lives. We actually stumbled upon this iris at the Arboretum in Minnesota several years ago when I was walking around with my grandma, it was right next to a bench :) my husband’s family had lost track of it and we were so excited it was still in existence! I’m not sure if this is something you do, but we would love to get it for him so he could enjoy this special flower. We will be in Minnesota at the end of July visiting family could stop by to grab it then. Thank you for considering!

Yours is an interesting story.  I don't think the Arb sells any of its plants but you could try contacting them with your story and see if there is any way to purchase a small portion.  Here is the contact information:
