Hi, I read the article Landscaping Septic Systems the college of agricultural, food and environment sciences wrote and I was wondering if I could purchase the grass seeds from the U of M? The article lists Sideoats Grama, Blue Grama, Little Bluestem, Prairie Dropseed and June Grass. Would I be possible to purchase the seeds this way? Thank you

Hi Anna,
I'm sorry, the U does not sell these seeds. There is a specialty grass seed dealer in the Twin Cities. See "native grasses:"
Purchasing seed this way can be expensive. You may find it cheaper and get results faster by buying small plants of the grasses you want in quantity. Some of these businesses sell "plugs" of grass that are maybe two inches wide.
This DNR list (click on "central Minnesota") will get you started:

Good luck.
