I think I planted my plants to close. I have 3 2-3 ft tomatoe plants with green tomatoes starting but I heard I should defoliate, cut some small branches off so not so crowded
Is this a good idea?

Getting sunlight to the fruit is best however, unless you are trying for a maximum yield you really don’t have to do anything. It’s fun to experiment and trying things to see what works best in your specific location. Is a fun thing to do.
