Have a continuing problem with dormant turf in lawn.
Lawn care company says this is caused by fungus which dies off in cold weather and that grass is still alive and will come back. Says can't kill fungus but can put down fungus prevention which lasts 21 days. Fungus will come back in hot humid weather.
In fall of 2023 had lawn aerated and overseeded. Also have inground sprinkler system which sprinkles about 20 minutes per sprinkler zone three times a week. Also have regular fertilization and weed control applied
Is what I am being told correct? What can I do? Thanks for your help.

Greetings,
I will do my best to provide a little guidance to assist you figuring out what is going on with your lawn. I recommend that lawn fertilization be guided by soil testing. You can find out more information about that and how to soil test at this LINK. Over or under fertilizing can cause problems. Regarding fungal disease, there are many types of fungal diseases that can affect lawns. Check out this link for a list. Did they specify the type of fungus? I recommend that you contact our plant and pest diagnostic clinic to get a sample tested to find out the exact disease organism so you can pick the treatment strategy to address it.
Thanks,
Tim
