Front yard landscape design #876374

Hello,
I live in a newer build development that has a huge front yard with very little shade. There are a few maple trees that have been planted since it was built in 2010 (based on GoogleEarth images achieves), however, they are quite small (<4" diameter). The front of the home is west facing so it gets a crazy amount of sun during the day which really heats up the home. I am hoping to get some advice on where I should add some shade trees and possibly additional mulch beds to the front yard so it can be more shaded.
I attached two files, one is a diagram of the front yard and the second is the same diagram but with all the plants I currently have labeled.
Thanks!

Loren,
Thanks for your question about shade trees and landscaping plants.
I hope you can understand it is difficult for me to design a landscape for you. Everyone has different tastes and thoughts.
I do think you need to diversify from your current maple trees.
Having said the above I have given you 3 sites to review to look at what you like. You can then talk to a landscaper or a nursery about the growing conditions, etc before buying any plants. You can also do you own research by researching things on .edu, .gov, org sites to get facts about your desired plants.
I hope this somewhat helps answer your question.
