What type of insect laid eggs in my aloe plant basin? Saw this yesterday as I took my aloe pot out side to give everything a bath.
The eggs were covering the whole bottom of the pot. This was the only pot with this yuck covering the bottom. There was water in the plastic basin. Thank you for your help.

Hello,
These structures appear fungal rather than insect-related. Have you had any insect issues? Often the fungi found in soils are breaking down the organic matter and are not harmful. Let me know if your aloe is looking sickly, or if you are experiencing problems.
