I suspect the yellow falling Maple leaves are due to the saturated ground from our very wet spring. Is there anything to be done? Do Maples usually survive this?

Unfortunately, we can't determine what's stressing the tree by viewing the photo.
The tree appears to have been planted in the last two or three years so it may still be adjusting to stress associated with the move called "transplant shock." In that case, if it was planted properly, it may recover and change color at the normal time in autumn in the next year or two.
Despite recent abundant rain in the Twin Cities area, the tree's reaction to severe drought in past years may account for the premature color.
On the other hand, if the area has been flooded, saturated soil could be a factor as you suggested.
