Hello,
On June 19 I submitted a question about what appears to be a disease of new growth - possibly of the vascular system - in my 3 yr old quince. I filled out your form and attached photographs. I really need to know how I should treat this; it is spreading.

Hello Linden:
According to the Plant Pathologist:
This looks like fireblight. Quince are very susceptible. They should clip out and destroy strikes during dry weather and surface sterilize shears between cuts. https://www.missouribotanicalgarden.org/gardens-gardening/your-garden/help-for-the-home-gardener/advice-tips-resources/insects-pests-and-problems/diseases/bacterial-spots/fireblight

Thank you! Now all I need is for the rain to stop!
