This insect burrow showed up under my Apple tree this year. Is it something I should be concerned about?

Hi Chris,
That's a green sweat bee, a good pollinator and you have given it a great place to raise it's young. Most of our bees are ground dwellers and keeping some clear ground is important so they can dig in as it were. They like sandy soil and it looks like your soil is sandy.
Some of them are green or blue. They usually have a bright metallic head and thorax and black and yellow striped abdomens. Lucky you. No joke. We need pollinators and pollinator habitat.
