Yellow-gold leaves on tomatoes #876190

Asked July 07, 2024, 12:39 PM EDT

A few weeks ago, we discovered bright yellow-gold leaves around the base of 2 of our tomato plants. All our veggies are planted in containers & we clean & replace the soil each year. We used Miracle Grow potting soil. My first thought was we were over watering. Then we sprayed with an Epsom Salt solution & I cut off the leaves too. The plants are producing & look healthy. It's been quite hot - early . They are in all day sun. What do you think this is & what is the recommendation? Thank you!

Expert Response

Overwatering is the most likely culprit, that or a nutrient deficiency that is likely caused by overwatering.
