I noticed this white semi-loose coating in the shrub next to our deck. With the exception of two small dry branches the shrub appears healthy. Photos attached.

Do you know what kind of shrub it is? It looks like it might be an azalea. I can’t make out much detail in the photo and there are many different things that can cause a “white coating” on stems and branches. If it is an azalea then this might be azalea scale insects.
