We only received one photo (it sounds like you intended to share several), and the image received is too small in file size for us to examine closely. Do you have a larger version of this photo (at least 1MB) to re-share, and do you have others you can share, especially showing the bloom mentioned? From the traits we can see, this does not look like a Viburnum. (Was the plant tagged as a Viburnum when purchased? If so, what was the full name on its tag?) Some Viburnum species can sucker a bit, though not most.

Sorry, I'm not very competent with computer. Is this one any better?
It's the same file size (68.7 kb), so unfortunately not. Is "Jane" in the file name referring to the Viburnum cultivar? If so, we're not familiar with a variety by this name, though there is a Magnolia (and probably other plants) with a cultivar named Jane.
If you don't have a photo of the flower(s) this plant produced, can you describe them? (Color, rough shape of the flower cluster, and in what month or season they appeared? Did they have a fragrance?) Does this plant produce any berries, and what autumn foliage color (if any) does it develop? That additional information can help us to narrow-down a potential ID.

I enlarged it then saved on usb drive which I thought would work, but obviously not. Will ask a friend if he has other ideas. No it is not the cultivar; Jane is the person who has and is offering a sucker. She does not know the specie, and says it dates back 100 yrs to family farm. Will get back to you if can enlarge the 3 pics.
Okay, thank you for the clarification. We still suspect it's not a Viburnum, but are happy to look at more photos when they are available; no rush.
