Tomato plant wilting #875908
Asked July 04, 2024, 9:53 AM EDT
Tomato plant seeds, from repuatable on line sources, were started under grow lights on March 13th. After 10 days of hardening off, the 12" plants were transplanted into prepared whisky barrels in early June. Each year about 80% of the soil is removed and replaced with Berger OM 6 potting soil. Mixed into each hole, 2 handfuls of Back to Earth cotton bur compost, 1T powdered egg shells, 1T bone meal, 2T worm casting, 2T 7-22-8 fertilizer and 1t calcium nitrate. About a week ago, each of the plants top leaves started to curl like "fiddleheads", then droop as if not watered. Soil is moist but not wet. I have never had any disease issues in the past. Showed plant and root structure to local nursery and they have no idea of possible problems.
