Bright green grass in lawn #875832

I can't identify this grass/weed. It shows up in splotches in my lawn. Not in wet areas so it isn't nutsedge.

You are correct, it's not Nutsedge. I suspect you may have yellow foxtail (Setaria glauca). It's an annual grass so you should be able to control it next year with a pre-emergent. More info in the links below:
