Hi,
I’m not sure what to do to help my dog wood tree. I worry that the necessary hack job I had to do during the ice storm has affected my tree. This year I’ve used watering bags to keep it hydrated but the leaves look awful.

It will take a while to come back from all the stress. Do not overwater a dogwood, however. Do keep an eye on it on heat events. That is another stressor. It will probably take more than one growing season to recover completely.
