Overall I think my grape vines are doing OK, but randomly some of the leaves are curling. There is fruit growing on the vines that looks like it is doing well. Can you tell me why the leaves are curling and if there is anything I can do to remedy it.

Expert Response
Dear Brian,
Thank you for contacting us about your grapevines. When most leaves look healthy but a few are distorted, the culprit is generally a pest. Often, natural predators will control the problem.
I suggest you remove and destroy the affected leaves (do not compost). Also, be judicious with fertilizers since they encourage tender new growth which can be a magnet for insects.
I hope this information is helpful. If you find that the problem gets worse, please write again in response to this email and we will be happy to try to assist you.
