Based on the photo submitted, it looks like it may be a native crayfish. They are more common in properties with streams or low lying moist areas. They have potential to alter ecosystems through competition of resources. Handling crayfish can vary based on the type of species. With the photo you sent, you could pick it up to move it; however, when displacing them physically, you should either use a net or pick it up by its back to avoid any pinches.
