Trying to identify a plant and how to eradicate it #875333

Asked June 30, 2024, 11:22 AM EDT

I had three or four clusters of these and had them cut down year before last. After cutting them down, they have run shoots everywhere. I’ve sprayed with 2,4-D but they seem resistant.

Can anyone tell me what this is and what is a good way to kill it?

Thank you for your question. After consulting many of our Master Gardeners, you have them stumped.

I would suggest that you contact your Horticultural Agent in your county. Send the picture and questions to him or take a plant sample to him to get the correct identification.

He should be able to help you.

Here is his contact information.
