Planting an eco lawn in July #875331

Asked June 30, 2024, 11:05 AM EDT

After 2 years of hacking back the blackberry that overtook our lawn, I’m finally ready to re-level and re-seed. I would like to have some greenery this summer and know that I’ve missed the general window to sew seeds. What do you recommend? Should I roll grass and plant a clover/yarrow mix over it? Or go straight for the mix? Thank you so much for your help!

Thank you for your questions, Sophie.  I suggest that you read the following before you decide: https://s3.wp.wsu.edu/uploads/sites/2079/2014/02/Lawnalt.pdf

It probably would be helpful to talk about your landscape's unique properties with a company that sells the mix before you commit.  Good luck!
