Why are lower leaves on tomato plants turning brown? #875246

I'm growing some Brandywine and Brandywine tomato plants in raised beds. I bought the bare root plants from a reputable nursery and they've been doing fine till now, with a number of green tomatoes growing. I water them every three days, but have not fertilized them yet. Picture attached.

Hi George...this looks typical of Early blight which is pretty common in tomatoes, and the Brandywine heirlooms might be more susceptible. You need to pluck off the affected stems/leaves and throw them away. Also, you may want to prune the rest of the plant to make sure there is plenty of air circulation.
