Sick Rose Bushes #875188

Asked June 29, 2024, 12:13 AM EDT

I have several rose bushes and a few of them seem to be sick. A picture of the rose garden plus pictures of the sick bushes are included. Can you tell me what is wrong with the bushes.

Expert Response

Good afternoon, Abby -

Thank you for the photos! They are a great help although it is still difficult to definitively determine exactly what is plaguing your rose plants.  Examining the photos it appears your roses may be experiencing several issues. The white spots are likely powdery mildew.  The curled leaves could be drift from herbicide or heat stress. The black spots may be black spot.  The orange spots are likely rust.  Links to 3 fact sheets / websites with information and pictures on typical rose issues and how to address them are included below.  With access to your roses, their location and knowledge of what type of rose plants they are, the links should help you determine the exact problems and what to do about them.
