Pruning Swamp White Oak #875145

Asked June 28, 2024, 4:23 PM EDT

We will be pruning 4 - 7 branches of a Swamp White Oak, each about 6" in diameter at branch crotch. We are a landscaping company wanting to complete this work this summer, but can wait until after frost to avoid fungal infections in the tree.

Hi Kyle,

I'm thinking there is a question in your comment ?? I highly advise against pruning any oak during the growing season. You will be liable for the tree should it get oak wilt and die ( I have know this to happen).

Protect the tree and yourselves,
