Bacterial blight on Maple? #875116

Acer Rubrum with dead leaves on one side of the tree. Leaves remain on the branch. Shoots have "Shepherds Hook" similar to fireblight. Bacterial Blight?

Hello Mark -
Maples are often infected with fungal diseases.  To find out which of them your maple is infected with, I suggest sending a sample to the MSU lab.  For a small fee, they will diagnose your maple's disease for you.  https://www.canr.msu.edu/pestid/
