Hello,
My SIL attended a native plant exchange and brought me back a lovely little purple/green stemmed plant. The plant is doing well in my new native garden and has just flowered. I'd like to put in another one.
Can you please identify it? Thank you,
Mary

This looks like fringed loosestrife (Lysimachia ciliata). It is among the more common species of Lysimachia found in Maryland and is a native species in most of our state (except for a few counties on the shore). It belongs to the Primrose family.
