This spring I planted 2 True North Kentucky Coffee trees, 1 at home and 1 at our cabin. Can you tell me why the leaves are turning brown and getting some yellow spots? One is in black soil and the other kind of sandy black soil. We received a lot of rain this spring. Is there something I can do to stop this?

Expert Response
Based upon what we can see in the photos, we think the brown patches are leaf scorch, a common symptom of transplant shock.
The scorch seems not to be severe and unless it progresses rapidly, it can be ignored.
