We found a bees nest in our back yard that looks like it may be a cross breed? Can you tell us for sure what kind of bee this is? If it is a cross breed, what needs to be done to get it removed? My husband found it and the pics I took are dirty from what he had to use to kill it.

Identifying insects from photographs is not always possible. I cannot see enough detail in your photos to offer an accurate identification. Depending on the structure of the nest, you can probably identify the species yourself.
