I have attached photos of feces that started appearing two weeks ago on a railing near out back door. This is a highly traveled main entrance and we have never seen this before in the last 23 years despite numerous squirrels and chipmunks in our yard. I would appreciate your identification of the animal, if possible, and suggestions about how to stop this. We need this railing for packages, etc. and it appears to have been turned into a latrine . The larger droppings appear to have been squished (probably by us) but they were rounder in shape and lighter in color than the smaller, darker ones which are fresher and attracting flies. I appreciate any help you can give me on what to do re sprays etc. that will dissuade this creature. Thank you.
