Recently we have seen these flowers growing in home gardens in the Twin Cities. Can you identify them and provide background information on how to grow? thank you

Hi Alan,

The first picture of the blue/purple flowers are a perennial geranium. Once established they are pretty tough and hardy.

I believe the second flower is a Ranunculus;

Both flowers favor moister, richer soil. There is lots of information on the internet. You might want to look at other varieties of these flowers as well.
