Tree fungus #874740

Asked June 26, 2024, 8:14 AM EDT

Hi, I have an evergreen tree, tall but sparsely full, really never got full. Anyway, it now has some kind of fungus. Can you tell me what it is and how to get rid of it please. I appreciate your expertise! Thank you, Jill Morris

Greetings,

While I cannot make a definitive diagnosis from pictures, I suspect that your trees have lichen on them.  CLICK HERE to read about that.  I recommend that you contact an arborist to come examine the trees and make sure that they are healthy and that you have a plan in place for their care.

Thank for your super speedy reply!

I'll contact an arborist.  Do you have any you trust?  It is a long list!

Thanks!

Jill,

We are unable to recommend any specific person or company.  I recommend that you first contact your city or municipality to see if they have one on staff, then if not, search through the Find an Arborist link for one near you.
